Comments: When I turned a corner on the edge of a field, I was startled by the sight of this highland cow sitting nonchalantly in the rain. Even although I knew these animals were quite docile, I hadn't had a personal encounter like this one in 35 years. As I took her picture, I kept one eye on the fence to estimate how quickly I could fling myself over it if this beast even sneezed.
